About the job

As part of our service team at Chun you play a crucial role in ensuring a perfect experience to our guests every time. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service as front-of-house.

Responsibilities 

• Customer Interaction: provide outstanding service to all customers, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Escort them to their seats and deliver food and drinks to tables promptly and efficiently, ensuring presentation meets café standards. Answer questions about the menu, provide recommendations, and address any concerns or special requests.

• Service Excellence: regularly check on customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and address any issues promptly. Suggest additional items like special drinks, or toast flavours to enhance the café experience. Also, process transactions, handle cash and credit card payments, and provide accurate change and receipts.

• Hygiene: prioritise hygiene in every aspect of our work. Personal hygiene and keeping the seating area, service stations, and restrooms clean plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our service. Clear and reset tables quickly for the next guests, ensuring cleanliness and readiness. Refill condiments, napkins, and other necessary items at service stations.

• Teamwork: work closely with kitchen staff and baristas to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered timely. Assist colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive work environment.

• Ability to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Working conditions: we work in a fast-paced environment standing for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry moderate loads.
